About GuidedPIPs

Built by a UK Registered Nurse who has seen first-hand how difficult the PIP process can be.

Why GuidedPIPs exists

My name is Mark. I am a Registered Nurse based in the UK, and over the years I have helped people complete their PIP application forms. Through that experience, one thing has become very clear to me: the process is far harder than it needs to be.

Most people know how their condition affects them. They live with it every day. But when it comes to putting that into words on a form, something gets lost. The language people naturally use to describe their difficulties is not always the language the DWP needs to see in order to make a fair assessment. People end up underselling their needs, leaving out important details, or feeling so overwhelmed by the form that they give up part-way through.

I built GuidedPIPs to help bridge that gap. It is a tool that walks you through each daily living and mobility activity, asks you the right questions, and helps you turn the reality of your condition into clear, structured notes that reflect what the DWP actually looks at when making a decision.

Who it is for

GuidedPIPs is for anyone applying for PIP who wants help organising their thoughts before completing the PIP2 form or attending an assessment. It is especially useful if you find it difficult to explain how your condition affects you, if you tend to downplay your needs, or if the length and complexity of the form feels overwhelming.

It does not matter what your condition is. Whether you are dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD, chronic pain, fatigue, a physical disability, or any combination of conditions, the tool is designed to help you describe the practical impact on your life in a way that is clear and relevant to PIP.

What GuidedPIPs is not

GuidedPIPs is not medical, legal, or benefits advice. It does not tell you what to write, and it does not decide whether you are entitled to PIP. It is a note-organising tool that helps you prepare your own words in a structured way.

It is not affiliated with the DWP, the NHS, or any government body. It does not submit anything on your behalf. You remain in control of your notes and your application at all times.

For formal advice on your PIP claim, I would always recommend speaking to a benefits adviser through organisations like Citizens Advice, Scope, or Turn2us.

My approach

I have tried to make GuidedPIPs feel calm and supportive. The PIP process can be stressful and emotionally draining, and the last thing anyone needs is a tool that adds to that. Everything is designed to be taken at your own pace, with no pressure and no judgement.

The tool is free to start, so you can see how it works and whether it is useful for you before deciding whether to unlock full access. I wanted to make sure that cost was never a barrier to getting started.
