PIP points calculator 2026/27
Use all 12 PIP activities to estimate your daily living and mobility points, the possible rate indicated by that score and the current payment amount. It is free, no account is needed and your choices stay in your browser.
This is a reference tool, not a benefits decision.
Selecting a descriptor does not mean the DWP will decide it applies. Your circumstances, evidence and the PIP reliability rules all matter.
How the PIP points calculator works
Choose one descriptor under each activity. The calculator adds daily living points separately from mobility points because PIP has two components. It then compares each total with the standard-rate threshold of 8 points and enhanced-rate threshold of 12 points.
The estimated payment uses confirmed 2026/27 PIP rates. Payments are usually made every four weeks—not once per calendar month—so the calculator shows the weekly rate and the amount for a normal four-week payment.

Mobility activities
Mobility is scored separately from daily living.
Daily living and mobility are considered separately. For either component, 8 to 11 points is the standard-rate range and 12 or more reaches the enhanced-rate threshold.
The payment estimate uses the confirmed 2026/27 rates. PIP is normally paid every four weeks, which is not the same as a calendar-month payment. A zero estimate means the selections are currently below 8 points for that component.
This calculator only adds the descriptors you select. It cannot decide which descriptor applies, whether the legal tests are met, or what the DWP will award. Consider whether you can do each activity safely, to an acceptable standard, repeatedly and within a reasonable time, and how things are on the majority of days.

PIP calculator questions
How many points do you need for PIP?
For each component, 8 to 11 points is the standard-rate range and 12 or more reaches the enhanced-rate threshold. Daily living and mobility are calculated separately.
How much is PIP in 2026/27?
The weekly daily living rates are £76.70 standard and £114.60 enhanced. The weekly mobility rates are £30.30 standard and £80.00 enhanced. PIP is normally paid every four weeks.
How much is PIP per month?
PIP is normally paid every four weeks rather than by calendar month. The calculator shows the actual four-week estimate and an average calendar-month equivalent so the two are not confused.
Does this calculator tell me whether I will get PIP?
No. It only adds the points attached to the descriptors you select. The DWP decides which descriptors apply after considering the legal tests, your circumstances and supporting evidence.
Are daily living and mobility points added together?
No. The two components are scored separately. You could qualify for neither component, one component, or both components at a standard or enhanced rate.
